Photographic images have always been an interest and an inspiration for Jason. Towards the end of his teens, he began taking steps to build on his desire to become a photographer. A family trip to Alaska was what it took to affirm that this was the direction that he wanted his life to go. It wasn’t until Jason attended Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Montana and receiving formal training that he realized he was about to make his dream a reality.

Returning to Minnesota has kept Jason busy with many projects, many of which have included weddings and portraits. Early in 2002, Jason partnered with Troy Sorum to form J Gallus Photography. Since then, Jason has worked to capture the images that were used to produce a commemorative calendar for a local church’s 100th Anniversary. Traveling has brought much inspiration and many exciting opportunities, which is evident by the feelings that their images convey. Along with continuing to shoot weddings and portraiture, Jason and Troy are also pursuing other avenues of photography. They have begun to build a number of solid portfolios, which showcase their varied interests, and they look forward to continued success and growth in the future.

Jason and Troy pride themselves on working with their customers to guarantee that their expectations will be met. They strive to create images that will capture the passion they feel for photography. They are continuously searching for new opportunities to explore their creativity, and they encourage special requests and photographic assignments.
